The White House Heritage middle school cross country teams raced at the regional meet Friday. Eighth grader Seth Gibson led the team to a second place finish.
Gibson came in seventh place overall and took home a medal. He was followed by seventh graders Daniel Eden, Curt Qualls, Luke Buckett, and Carson Forsythe. Logan Crawford and Ty Lancaster finished out the run for the team.
They advance as a team to the state meet Saturday in Clarksville. This is the second year the team will head to state. Last year they finished fourth in the region. Seven of the nine boys on the Heritage team set new personal records.
The girls' team did not qualify as a team, but will send sixth grader Indiana Taylor to the state meet running as an individual. All seven of the girls running yesterday set personal records.
