District 7-A champions –

Watertown High has earned the right to host the four-team Region 4-A volleyball tournament Monday, Oct. 14.

Monday’s schedule includes: Gordonsville taking on East Robertson in a 4:30 p.m. semifinal followed by Watertown taking on Merrol Hyde at 6 p.m.

The championship match will start at 7:30 p.m. between the two semifinal winners.

Postseason honors —

Watertown’s District 7-A regular season and tournament championship volleyball team was well represented on all-district and all-tournament teams.

Natalie Fountain was named to the all-district team, Alie Tunks was all-tournament, Brookelyn Davis was District MVP and all-tournament, Mackailyn Cherry was all-district & tournament MVP and Sydney Murrell was all-district.

Watertown eliminated Clay County in the District 7-A semifinals Thursday, Oct. 10 — then downed host Gordonsville in the tournament finals.
