The Springfield Lady Jackets closed out the regular season with a 5-1 victory over Cheatham County on Tuesday night at Travis Price Park. The Lady Jackets improved to 7-5 overall.
In somewhat of an odd game, the first half was a scoring frenzy, with all 6 goals scored before halftime.
Cheatham County also largely dominated possession throughout the game but still lost by four goals.
Springfield sophomore Molly Smith scored all five goals for the Lady Jackets. Her last tally came off an assist from Perla Castro.
Smith now has 44 goals in 12 games this season. That topped her 41 goals from 2018 – a Springfield single-season record.
