The East Robertson and White House High School basketball teams split a doubleheader on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

The White House girls opened the evening with a 53-37 win, and the East Robertson boys took a 71-56 in the second contest.

The Lady Devils (3-2) led East Robertson 21-20 at halftime, but Avery Droz caught fire in the final two quarters. The freshman guard knocked down four three-point makes in the second half to finish with 12 points.

Faithe Johnstone and Emma Wall both had 11 for White House. East Robertson (0-5) was paced by Macy Phelps’ 15-point showing, and Peyton Lackey contributed 10.

In the boys game, East Robertson senior Darion Shannon erupted for 32 points, including 18 in the second half. Daltyn Hammonds also finished in double figures with 16.

Shannon and Hammonds helped the Indians (3-3) pull away from White House (1-6) after holding a 37-30 advantage at halftime. That lead became 56-43 by the end of the third quarter.

Harrison Autman-Springer led the Blue Devils with 17 points. Seniors Durstin Adams (15) and Evan Webster (11) also had double-digit outings.

East Robertson was set to host Stewart County on Friday, Dec. 6. White House will host Hendersonville on Monday, Dec. 9.
