The Jo Byrns boys and girls basketball teams made quick work of Christian Community School on Tuesday in Cedar Hill.

The Lady Red Devils (8-3) rolled to a 67-31 victory behind 21 points from Brooke Dowlen. It was their fifth win in their last fix games.

Dowlen scored all her points in the first two quarters to give Jo Byrns a 46-11 lead at the break. Senior Brianna Rivera added 12 points, 10 of which came in the second half.

Michael Pinkerman (11 points) was the lone Lady Colt to finish in double figures.

The Red Devils (3-9) produced a similar lopsided result, topping CCS 65-36. Seniors Bobby Ogg (14 points) and Collin Harper (13) led Jo Byrns in scoring.

Jo Byrns outscored CCS 13-3 in the second quarter and 19-5 in the third quarter to build a 28-point lead by the start of the final frame.

Brooks Pugh finished with a game-high 17 points for CCS. Conner Martin added eight.

Jo Byrns was slated to travel to McEwen on Friday, Jan. 10. The Red Devils will be back at home on Tuesday, Jan. 14 against East Robertson. The girls game is set for 6 p.m.
