Tammy Annette “George” Morris

Tammy Annette “George” Morris, age 59, of Barren Plains, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at The Waters of Springfield on her Granny Morris’ birthday.

 

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Frankie Kirby officiating.   Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.

 

Ms. Morris was born November 16, 1958 in Springfield to Alford and Sammie Reid Morris.  She worked as a Customer Service Clerk at Walmart and was a member of the Williams Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved quilting and scrapbooking but especially loved her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as “Grunt”.

 

Ms. Morris is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Reid and Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Morris; her sister, Beverly “Baby Jane” Morris; and her sister-in-law, Tonya Palmore Morris.

 

In addition to her parents Ms. Morris is survived by her son, Clifford Allen Morris of Guthrie, KY; daughters, Jacqulyn (Mark) Vogle of Adams, Casey Morris of Barren Plains and Sarah (Christopher) Rudy of Portland; brothers, Bubba Morris of Mt. Juliet and Dennis Morris of Barren Plains; sisters, Melinda (Paul) Roark of Orlinda and Susan (Delvin) Hester of Springfield; grandchildren, Kali Ann Vogle, James Lee Morris, Lilly Grace Morris, Ruthie Morris, Danica Chloee Squires, Dezarae Rudy, Blake Rudy, Alan Rudy and Emily Rudy; and lots of aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

 

 

Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
