Robert Roy Holt, age 51, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee.
He was born October 22, 1969, to Linda G. Hackney Holt and Roy Preston Holt He attended grade schools in Montgomery and Robertson Counties. He was a 1987 graduate of Greenbrier High School and a member of the band and participated in several clubs.
He graduated from Nashville State Technical Institute with an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Technology in 1989.
He had been employed as a Sales Engineer II at Insight since October 2012.
He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid dove, turkey, and deer hunter. He enjoyed fishing with friends and participated in fishing tournaments over the past few years.
Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert L. and Ola Mae Murphy Hackney and Roy Roger and Johnnie Mitchell Holt; Uncles Kenneth Hackney and Mitchell Holt; stepfather Willard Coulter and stepmother Barbara Holt.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 25 years, Carol Parrish Holt, their children Harlee Ann, Brady Ryan, Zackery Shane and Jathan Bracey Holt; granddaughter Maelynn Holt. Mother Linda Gayle Coulter and father Preston Holt; brother Ronald (Tabitha) Holt, aunts Jenny Hackney and Brenda Holt; uncles Roger Dale Holt and Robert Jr. Hackney; and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Smiley Hollow Barn, 5937 Smiley Hollow Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Visitation with family will follow the service.
