John Marshall Suter, 83, of Greenbrier, went to be with our Lord on July 24, 2020, at Stone Ridge Healthcare in Ridgetop.
His remains were cremated and per his request, there will be no service.
Mr. Suter was born on October 2, 1936, in Greenbrier to the late Leo and Bertha Dorris Suter. He attended Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop. In his earlier years at Ebenezer Baptist Church, he was a RA leader, coached church sports, and taught Sunday school. He loved to watch baseball on television, especially the Atlanta Braves, loved to read and play the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Dorris Suter; a son, Michael (Mike) Suter; and a sister Barbara Henderson. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Janice Suter of Orlinda; a son Jeffrey (Jeff) Suter; daughter-in-law, Judy Suter of Greenbrier; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time and throughout the last few months.
In lieu of any flowers or in his memory, contributions can be made to Comfort Care Hospice, Springfield, TN.
TLC Mortuary Services was in charge of cremation.
