On Monday, January 11, 2021 God called his Angel home, Jermaine DeShawn Patterson better known as “Peanut.” “Peanut” was born March 12, 1991 to the late Wanda Faye Payne and the late Jerry Patterson.
“Peanut” accepted Christ in his life at an early age. He graduated from Springfield High School, Class of 2008. After graduating, “Peanut” went to work at The Waters of Springfield, he played a very important role in the kitchen. In his free time he enjoyed cooking, computers, and being around his god-children.
“Peanut” will be known for his witty sense of humor and his clumsiness. He was loved by everyone who met him.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Wanda Payne and Jerry Patterson; grandmothers, Gaybell “Ma” Payne and Annie Lou Williams.
Jermaine leaves to cherish his memories: devoted sister, Brandy Payne; nephews, Myron Woods and Travion Woodard; niece, Jayma Woodard; great-nephew, Dontae Amir McCoy; aunts, Brenda Blakemore, Patricia, Deborah, and Melissa Williams, and Anna Chatman; uncles, Christopher, David and Samuel Williams; great-aunt, Clara Harris; godmothers, Jackie Jackson and Lawanda Townsend; devoted friend, Pavielle Smith; a host of cousins, other family and friends.
Public Viewing and Visitation was Saturday, January 16, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 pm with a Private Funeral at W. D. Crowder Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Summers, Officiant and Eulogist. W. D. Crowder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
