Eva Goodwin Crawford, age 93 of Cedar Hill, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Joe Rushing and Brother Marvin Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jamie Vertrees, Trey Vertrees, Jackson Vertrees, Michael Wilson, Logan Wilson, Allan Crawford and Levi Hood serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Wyatt and Sam Wyatt.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Crawford was born September 8, 1925 in Dot, KY to the late Leonard and Nellie Carter Goodwin. She was a homemaker and member of the Keysburg Church of Christ but most recently attended the Adams Church of Christ. She loved flowers and gardening and loved the Lord.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Crawford is preceded in death by her husband, John Rayburn Crawford, her son, Danny Wayne Crawford, 2 sisters, her brother, and 2 grandchildren.
Mrs. Crawford is survived by her daughter, Deborah Crawford Fisher of Springfield; grandson, Mark Wilson who lived with her and cared for her. He was not only her grandson, but her companion and best friend. She has three other grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
