Ernest Lee Darden

Ernest Lee Darden, was born on November 27, 1952 to the late Esterlene Darden in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 1964 he came to live with his grandparents, the late Tess and Mary Shannon in Tennessee. He departed this life on October 12, 2018.

He was educated in the Robertson County School System and then served in the United States Army Reserve for six years.

He believed in Jesus Christ as his Savior and accepted Christ at Faith Apostolic Church under the leadership of Elder Harold Hines. He was employed at the Total Gospel, where his good friend, Tony Shaw, gave him an opportunity to work. He loved working for Tony until his health failed.

Ernest was a good hearted person, always willing to help anyone. He was a friend to many and he loved dogs. He will be greatly missed.

Ernest leaves to cherish his memories, devoted cousins and caregivers, Patricia and Terry Shannon and James (PJ) Shannon; one aunt, Rosetta Lunsford of Jackson, MI, and three uncles, Archie, James and Pete Farmer; cousins who helped care for him, Mary Barbee, Mattie Hyde and Elizabeth Jones. Devoted friends, Tony Shaw, Torey Ellis, Ed Jones, Nathan and Amber West, Melvin and Bell Yates, Punkin and

Rosemary Yates, Marie Bowling, Bridgett Lynn  and Vicky Hall. Special friend, Georgia Bell of Guthrie, KY. A host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 12 p.m. at City of Faith Church with Pastor Robert Gardner, Eulogist and Officiant; Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Garden.

W. D. Crowder Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
