The General Jethro Sumner Chapter, DAR, recently announced the winners of the 2020 DAR Good Citizenship Award Program. This program is intended to recognize and reward the qualities of Good Citizenship in Sumner County high schools.
Hannah Potts, a senior at White House High School, is one of the students selected to receive the award. Hannah plans to attend Belmont University in the fall and major in Neuroscience.
The winning students must have the following qualities: Dependability (truthfulness, honesty, and punctuality; Service (cooperation, helpfulness, and responsibility); Leadership (personality, self-control, and initiative); and Patriotism (unselfish loyalty to American ideals).
The faculty at each area high school selects one senior to be the recipient of the DAR Good Citizen Award. Each awardee is present with the official DAR Good Citizen Medal by The General Jethro Sumner Chapter, NSDAR.
