Vogle re-elected as Robertson County Mayor

Robertson County’s August general election was held Thursday night. Among the 29 county seats on the ballot for this year’s election, only 14 were contested races.

According to the official results from the Robertson County Election Commission, a total of 8,479 voters participated in Thursday’s election, resulting in a turnout of only 17.95% among all eligible voters across the county.

A number of incumbent candidates won new terms in several of the more significant races. Among those include Billy Vogle, who will continue his role as County Mayor for another four years after defeating Joshua Evans with over 58% of the vote.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night came in the race for Chancellor of the 19th Judicial District. Republican Ben Dean, a local attorney based in Springfield defeated Laurence McMillan, who had previously held the position for the past 18 years.
