Sudden Service St Jude check presentation 2019

Sudden Service Convenience Stores across middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky raised $225,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital in October. SUBMITTED

Fifty-three Sudden Service Convenience Stores across middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky raised $225,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital in October. Sudden Service was joined in this endeavor by Pepsi Bottling Co, Red Bull and Miller Coors along with its customers.

Hollingsworth Oil Co., dba Sudden Service, started collecting money for St. Jude in 2008. Ronnie Hollingsworth started collecting money for St. Jude in his convenience stores because his mother, Marjorie Hollingsworth, was very passionate about the organization.  Over the past 11 years the company has raised $1,381,092 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

Sudden Service Convenience Stores are divided into six districts. The store that raises the most money from each district sends the manager to tour St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

In 2020, Sudden Service will begin collecting money during the month of September on the food trailer, where you can get a meal for a donation, and the stores will begin collecting in October.
