The White House Planning Commission met in regular session on Monday, Feb. 8 and approved The Tractor Supply Company.

The site plan is for a 19,097 sq. ft. commercial retail building and 20,000 sq. ft. fenced outdoor display area.

“We got approval on the site plan. So now we’ll move forward with permits and construction. We should be able to start construction within the next month or so,” said Sewell Inspections, Testing & Engineering President John Sewell, whose company represents Tractor Supply.

The property is located at 2901 Highway 31 West in White House and consists of 5.161 acres and is zoned C-2, General Commercial.

“This is the first property in White House, and this is actually Tractor Supplys’ new 2020 prototype. It’ll have a new garden center, feed storage and some of this new stuff that they’re rolling out. We’re looking forward to drawing in more clientele and more customers,” said Sewell. 

Since the site plan was approved by the Planning Commission and is appropriately zoned, it won’t need to go to the Board of Mayor and Alderman.

Instead, The City will conduct a review of the construction plans to make sure that the drainage and sewage are adhering to City and State regulations. This should take anywhere from two to six weeks.

Once the Public Services and Engineering departments sign off, the developer will begin the building process.

Among the items sold at Tractor Supply Company are pet foods and supplies, including crates and carriers, livestock feed and supplies, including bedding, go-carts, mini-bikes, gun safes and lawn and garden supplies and equipment.

There is currently a Tractor Supply Company in Robertson County located in Springfield.
