On Monday, Dec. 14, a Springfield resident called 911 stating that a female victim was in an active domestic assault and that the defendant - Jeremiah Hyde was going to kill her.
According to the affidavit, Lt. Posey with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, had knocked on the door several times without any answer.
However, a short time late, a female could be heard screaming from inside the home. Posey, along with a deputy were about to make a forced entry when the victim opened the door crying.
According to the affidavit, the victim stated she had been with Hyde on two different occasions earlier in December when he became physically violent with her - once striking her in the face with his fist, another time slamming her twice onto the ground. The report states that she has a swollen eye.
Hyde was immediately arrested and charged with aggravated assault, violation of Order of Protection and interference with emergency calls
He is currently on bond with conditions preventing him from being around the victim.
