Bojangles’ is bringing its famous Cajun chicken and biscuits to Robertson County and plans to open in Springfield before the end of the year.
The vacant lot next to the Buzz In auto wash will become the new home to Bojangles’ at 2804 Memorial Blvd. The site is already being cleared for construction to begin.
Bojangles’ and the city worked together for several months to determine the best location for the new fast food restaurant. The building permit was issued on Sept. 13.
Springfield Mayor Ann Schneider expressed her excitement for the new opportunities a company like Bojangles’ brings to the local community.
“More opportunities assure we attract and keep the best of the best and allows people to express a clear choice and preference. It also provides opportunities for employment, including young people to save for college and those needing this job,” Schneider said.
Other popular menu items will include Cajun chicken boxes - including family packs, Cajun pintos, dirty rice, grits, macaroni and cheese, the famous Bo-berry biscuits and sweet potato pie.
