The White House Lions Club is committed to humanitarian service in the community. Recently they hosted a booth at the annual business expo to provide information about free vision screenings, diabetes education and to raise funds for their other efforts.
The club provides free eyeglasses for the needy and utilizes a special retinal camera to screen for eye issues at local schools and preschools. The camera test is fast and painless and immediately determines if a more comprehensive examination is necessary.
The upcoming Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will be held at Colorado Grill on June 29 from 8-10 a.m. Each plate will be $5 and all proceeds will go toward the local chapter of the Lions Club. Tickets are available at various businesses in town and can also be purchased at the door.
