Each year the Trail of Treats in White House gets bigger. This year over 2,100 people attended the event enjoying mild weather along the city's greenway.
Local businesses set up themed tents in a competition for best decorations and gave away truckloads of free candy and treats. This year, Walmart won the booth contest; taking home the trophy with a haunted house display.
Another popular booth was created by the White House Baseball and Softball leagues and recreated the ballfield from the movie, The Sandlot. This was a popular spot for photos along the trail.
Kevin Whittaker of the White House Parks and Recreation Department said, "The best thing about Trail of Treats is being able to provide a free event for the public that everyone can enjoy. We do it every year because it's a win-win.”
