On Thursday, Jan 18, the local chapter of the National Society for the Sons of the American Revolution awarded Robertson County Sheriff Bill Holt the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal at their meeting in Greenbrier at the American Legion Post #45.
Chapter President Roger Tenney presented the medal to Holt for his outstanding achievement and dedication to the maintenance of law and order.
Holt’s career in law enforcement has spanned 56 years. Elected in 2010, he is currently serving his second term as Sheriff of Robertson County. Holt is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
“I am humbled to be recognized by such a patriotic organization,” said Holt. “The Lord has blessed me with an outstanding and memorable career, but I have always maintained that it was never about me – the real credit goes to our employees who have dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life in Robertson County.”
