The Robertson County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first fundraiser event of 2020, the Spirits of the South Casino Night on Friday, Feb. 7 from 7 to 10 p.m.

The event will be held at The Barn of Fiddle Dee Farms in Greenbrier. The theme this year will be “Red Carpet” featuring bourbon, beer and wine tasting, as well as various casino games. Venczel Insurances serves will be this year’s casino host with Prosperity Mortgage Advisors returning for the third year to sponsor the spirits tasting.

Director of Special Events Carly Rager with the Chamber of Commerce explained the tickets will be limited to 160 with an age restriction of 21 and older. Participants will use fake casino money with the top three “dollar” amounts receiving special gifts from local members.

According to Rager, local businesses providing for the tasting portion of the evening are BS Brew Works, Budweiser of Clarksville, Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, MB Roland, Prichert’s, Leatherwood Distillery, Old Glory Distillery, Beachaven Winery and SumnerCrest Winery. Dinner will be catered by Molipazzo.

The chamber’s goal this year is $5,000. The money raised during this event goes towards programs and services the chamber offers to its members and the community. Chamber President Jordan Osborne explained this is one of only two annual fundraisers they host. As a non-profit 501C-6 organization, the majority of the budget consists of dues, sponsorships and premium membership investments.

“The Chamber Casino Night is an amazingly fun event! We invite everyone to attend and enjoy the evening of dinner, dancing, networking and more,” Osborne said.  “It’s a fun night to dress up and play games and show support for the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce. We couldn’t do it with our sponsors.

“This is also a great time to come and see The Barn at Fiddle Dee Farms which is a beautiful venue right here in Robertson County. Supporting and promoting local businesses in our community is our primary focus and doing events like this provide great opportunities for our members to shine.”
