Madison Freeman, a 2021 graduate of White House High School, was named to the Dean’s List for the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at George Washington University in Washington, DC. The honor was awarded for the fall 2022 semester, and is given to students who meet a 3.75 GPA, full time academic schedule and attendance requirements for the university.

Freeman is a junior, with a double major in political science and criminal justice, and plans to study criminal or constitutional law in grad school. She is a member of the GWU undergraduate moot court team. At White House, she was a two-time forensics state champion in speech and debate and two-time national forensics tournament qualifier. She also played basketball for the Lady Devils for four seasons.

At GWU, she works as a lead events assistant on the Mount Vernon campus, helping to plan and lead university events and train new leaders, and also serves as a peer advisor for the University Honors Program (UHP).

“A college is only as good as its students, and with your exceptional academic work, you are helping us build an engaging environment for learning,” said a representative of George Washington University in a statement to students and their families. “You should take pride, as we do, in your success.”

Madison is the daughter of Kris and Jennifer Freeman of White House, and the older sister of WHHS senior Noah Freeman.
