White House will hold its first Farm to Table Dinner on Sept. 21 at 6 pm. at the White House Chamber of Commerce office on Highway 76.
Portland has a similar event that is popular and has sold out each of the last three years.
Local caterers – The Bakery Box, The Rolling Recipe and North Nash Catering + Events will be working with organizers and vendors from the Farmers Market to create a memorable dinner experience including farm décor and live music. Only 100 seats will be sold for the dinner.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase our local farmers, caterers and the farmers market,” said Mandy Lee Christenson, White House Chamber of Commerce resident and CEO. “What makes it even better is the opportunity to partner with both of our schools to benefit their FFA Programs. By supporting agriculture in all aspects we can show the importance it serves to our community even with a changing landscape”
Tickets are $75 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Future Farmers of America (FFA) programs at both White House and Heritage High Schools. Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber office in person, at either school or through the Chamber of Commerce event page: https://www.regions.com/personal_banking/trust.rf
