On Wednesday, the Robertson County Sheriff's Office responded to call on Clarence Murphy Road in regards to possible fight and domestic situation. Upon the first deputy's arrival, a vehicle nearly hit the patrol unit as it fled the scene. Deputies followed the vehicle to a location on Highway 41 North where the driver jumped out of the vehicle and fled into a wooded area.
Police mobilized the K9 unit as well as requested helicopter assistance from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The suspect, identified as Phoenix Dunn, was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic assault, reckless endangerment, evading arrest, violation of stop-frisk-halt, leaving the scene, theft of motor vehicle, reckless driving, and multiple citations.
