CROSS PLAINS - On April 25, Ashlyn Hebert signed to take her soccer talents to Martin Methodist College.
"I have had four players sign under my tenure and each one of them are special and did things that will not be surpassed," East Robertson Soccer Coach Todd Evilcizer said. "Her progression since she began playing was phenomenal."
Hebert is only a three-year soccer veteran but she has racked some very impressive accomplishments. She finished her senior season with 57 goals, No. 6 all time in the state of Tennessee for goals in a season.
She also scored eight goals in one game, which is tied for second all time in the state.
"I would like to thank all of my family and friends for being there and pushing me to be my best," Hebert said. "Thanks to Coach Todd and all my coaches for making me the player and person I am today. Coach Todd, thank you for pushing me and making me run and practice hard in 90-degree weather. I know at the time it was the worst thing in the world but it really paid off. And I couldn't thank anyone more than my grandfather, Harold Greer, for not giving up on me and believing in me. He is truly the reason that I have this amazing opportunity to go to Martin Methodist. All of you mean the world. Thank you."
Hebert's field of study will be marine biology.
