Metro Nashville Police have identified the body of a woman reported missing by her Robertson County daughter in June 2016.

Metro Nashville Police Department's Don Aaron said on Wednesday, Oct. 4, officers dispatched to Peeler Park after receiving a call that a deceased person was found in a vehicle that had been pulled from the Cumberland River.

"A diver from a towing and recovery company was assisting in dredging the boat ramp area when he located a Buick Rendezvous," Aaron said in an email. "The recovery company pulled the vehicle from the river and found the deceased in the driver's seat."

Kelley Stone, who disappeared when she was 52, was identified as the deceased, according to Aaron.

"No foul play was apparent at the vehicle," Aaron said. "The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy findings from the Medical Examiner's Office."
